“I thought this would be one of my easiest CPO car purchases, but had an unpleasant purchasing experience here at almost every step over a 6 day period. All along my time and requests for information were disrespected and in the end the vehicle that I bought was damaged and unclean. 1. Every time I asked for information or paperwork it took days and was often incorrect. 2. I had to finally go to a manager to get them to honor the advertised price despite showing the salesperson the ad 3. Getting the information to apply for financing took several days and so I had to start with outside financing. When I chose outside financing the dealer dragged their feet so long in getting me the paperwork that my bank closed before I could get a check cut. Basically forced me to go with them or delay a week. 4. After so many errors and delays from my salesperson I asked to work with a different one, but my request was ignored. 5. I traveled several hours to arrive to pick up the car and discovered 4 long scratches along along one of the doors that were not in the pictures, disclosed in the ad, or accurately described on the inspection report. Thankfully they granted me a credit to have it repaired, but now I have to track down a body shop and then send in a receipt before getting reimbursed. 6. The car had been used as a dealer loaner, but it was literally not cleaned out before my arrival. Seats were not vacuumed. Soda spills in and around the cup holders. I even found an entire bottle of someone's hand lotion! After my early negative experiences of delays and mistakes I kept hoping it was just an aberration and that things would go smoothly, but when I found the car uncleaned it just confirmed that customers are not treated respectfully here. I hope others have better experiences, but I can't recommend this dealership.”

“I purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry from Berman back in December of 2025. The salesman Isaiah told me if i have any issues to let them know and it would be taken care of. I returned the next day not even 24hrs later to point out some things that where being covered up, and missing. Needless to say Isaiah acted like a completely different person that day. #1 The windshield was cracked and that was being hidden by sales paperwork being taped to the windshield. #2 The moldings that go around all 4 windows where being covered up by a aftermarket trim pc cover that was a 3m taped on top hiding the destroyed trim underneath. #3 the rear seat headrests are missing. Was told by the dealership employee (Jake from financing) it was a safety hazard and if the previous owner did not bring them in they would replace them. The windshield was finally replaced after getting the run around for a while, of course i expressed to them i only wanted Toyota glass due to the ADAS systems rejecting aftermarket glass. I know because i work in ADAS. They agreed and of course they still used aftermarket glass and completely ignored me. As far as the moldings, supposably they ordered the 1 that was most damaged i waited months and when i went in to get it replaced it was the wrong part. (You can see this pc has a cut in it in the photo provided my finger is pointing to it. Was told by Jake once again he would speak to the manager and see what they can do about it since i have been going thru the run around. Never heard from him again. The headrest situation was another run around situation. Marty Fernandez told me he would order them and have them sent to my house. Said he would email me the tracking info. Never heard from him again. Finally got a hold of him only for him to tell me there was a deal made that i traded off the molding pc being replaced (That was the wrong pc replaced) for the headrests being replaced. Everytime it was another story from these guys, all aound just bad business. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt to make things right time and time again. Just to keep being ignored and no issues being solved. Ive reached out multiple times to get nowhere, left multiple voicemails just to never be responded to. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere this is a crooked dealership with crooked employees, they'll tell you what you want to hear in person and do the complete opposite afterwards. Its a few days shy of 7months getting the run around from this dealership. I am confident nothing will be replaced moving forward. Worst dealership experience by far! Look at this response from the Dealer below👇 yet they still ignore me. Very unprofessional, although they try to respond like they are. What a joke! Embarrassment to America.”

“If you’re looking for a dealership that actually delivers on what it promises, I can’t recommend Berman Subaru of Chicago enough. I’ve owned a lot of cars over the years—from BMWs to 300Zs—and after driving the Subaru Crosstrek for nearly a decade now, I can confidently say it stands in a league of its own. It’s the perfect balance of size, shape, practicality, and everyday performance. I was never chasing high performance—I wanted something reliable, comfortable, and capable in all conditions—and the Crosstrek has consistently delivered, whether I’m navigating city streets, cruising the highway, or taking on backroads. Berman has been my go-to dealership from the very beginning, and for good reason. The team is always professional, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. Pricing is very fair, the process is smooth, and their service department has been consistently excellent over the years. A big shoutout to Daniel Szontagh—he made this latest experience just as seamless as the others. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest help and great communication. I recently traded up to the Crosstrek Hybrid, and even after just a few days, all I can say is: wow. The previous models were great handlers, but this one takes it to another level. It feels incredibly smooth, connected to the road, and surprisingly comfortable—even over Chicago potholes. It’s refined without losing that fun, capable feel that makes the Crosstrek so enjoyable to drive. If you’re in the market for a Subaru—or even a quality used car—do yourself a favor and check out Berman Subaru. And if you can, ask for Daniel. You’ll be in good hands.”

“I had an exceptional experience at Professional Repair, Service & Car Wash and wanted to take a moment to recognize the outstanding level of customer service they provide. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. They took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly explain the work that needed to be done, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident every step of the way. The repair work was completed efficiently and with great care. It is clear that their technicians take pride in their craftsmanship and treat every vehicle as if it were their own. The quality of the service exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling confident that my vehicle was in excellent hands. What truly set them apart was their dedication to going above and beyond. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on providing the best possible experience. To top it off, the car wash left my vehicle looking spotless inside and out. It felt like I was driving away in a brand-new car. Finding a business that combines honesty, professionalism, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service is rare, but Professional Repair, Service & Car Wash delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable automotive service and a team that truly cares about its customers. Thank you for the outstanding experience—I will definitely be returning for future service needs.”

“I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership on February 17, 2026, and unfortunately my experience since then has been very disappointing. Less than two months later, on April 9th, I was informed by their own service center that the valve body in my transmission needs to be replaced. This was unexpected so soon after purchase and raised immediate concerns about the vehicle’s condition at the time of sale. That same day, I contacted Subaru of America for support, but after a follow-up on Monday, I was told they could not assist and that the matter would need to be handled directly with the dealership. Hoping for a reasonable resolution, I returned to the dealership and spoke with Len. The primary solution offered was to trade out of the vehicle into another car while rolling over negative equity, which would leave me in a worse financial position. While the sales experience itself was smooth and professional, the support after the sale has not met expectations. A major issue arising this quickly should be addressed with more accountability and customer care, rather than shifting the burden back onto the customer. I would encourage anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to ask detailed questions about post-sale support and warranties. Based on my experience, the level of assistance after purchase has been frustrating and discouraging.”
