“Updated 02/13: The owner and I were able to come to an agreement on a reimbursement for the unexpected repairs that occurred within 24 hours of purchasing the truck.
While the reimbursement did not fully cover the total repair costs, I do appreciate the effort made to work toward a resolution together.
Update review 01/27: I am extremely disappointed with my post-sale experience at Southworth Chevrolet GMC.
I purchased a truck that was previously owned by the owner and advertised as certified and road-ready. Less than 24 hours after taking possession, the vehicle became inoperable. This was not a minor issue — there was a coolant leak, a torn hose, and rust-colored water in the block, all of which I documented with photos and immediately shared with my salesman, Mark.
Prior to the sale, Mark had nothing but great things to say about the truck and its condition. However, once I raised these serious concerns, the response shifted to asking what I wanted Southworth to do, despite the situation making that painfully obvious. When a certified vehicle fails within 24 hours, the expectation should not need to be explained.
As a result, I was forced to cover over $3,000 in repair costs within the first day of ownership.This experience has been incredibly disappointing and stressful. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a “certified” vehicle from Southworth Chevrolet GMC to be very cautious and prepared for immediate, out-of-pocket repair expenses.
Original review: I had a great experience working with Mark at Southworth Chevrolet GMC. I contacted him about a 1986 Chevy C10, and he helped me from beginning to end throughout the entire purchase process.
I’m located in Texas while the dealership is in Wisconsin, but Mark made the long-distance buying experience smooth and stress-free. He took the time to share the full story behind the truck, answered all my questions honestly, and worked directly with my lender to coordinate the inspection process.
Although Southworth doesn’t handle shipping, Mark recommended a transportation company he has personally worked with before. I’ve been coordinating with them to get the truck shipped, and that extra help made a big difference.
The overall experience was very positive. Mark stayed in contact the entire time and was always available when I needed him whether he was in the office or even on his day off. Thanks Mark for your dedication and help. Looking forward to the truck being delivered to the Lone Star State where it will be right at home.”

He had Chad call me back with final numbers. I basically bought the truck over the phone! When we got there the next day, it was a quick and easy transaction. They took amazing care of us and we will definitely go back in the future.”

“I don’t know where to start off first. Well, I would recommend Southworth Chevrolet GMC to all my family and friends. Everyone there are so nice and helpful from the sales (Mark), to the finance (Molly and Chad), and service. My husband and I brought three vehicles from our salesperson, Mark in the past six months.
