“I just recently purchased a car and I'm quite upset that they were not willing to negotiate on the price and told me right off the bat they can't take more than $200 off the vehicle. From 3/6 to now 3/11, I got an email the vehicle dropped in price and it was almost $600 off. Although they said they gave me a "discount" on the platinum protection, it's the principal that they couldn't do that from the beginning.
Following the day of purchasing my car, I tried to reach back to the sales rep to ask questions--he's no where to be found. LOL. I had to talk to the finance manager for questions that should have been addressed by the sales rep.
ALSO, they WON'T give you an inspection sticker if you buy a used car. I had to take the Lexus to Leblanc Lexus for them to inspect my car and provide me a sticker because you guys can't provide an "all star" service. The whole experience was subpar and I would never recommend anyone buying from this company. I only bought because it's the car I really want and not because of the service.
Oh, and don't bother emailing the reviews email to raise your concerns because they won't answer there either. 🤣”

“Truly disappointed in the service department here. Claimed that I needed filters that were just replaced at a dealership in Massachusetts at 80,000 miles. The car now has 84,000 miles on the odometer. Volvo Cars then claimed that the dealership in Massachusetts must not have changed the filters. I called the dealership in Massachusetts while waiting for my car and they reiterated that they did indeed change the filters. I will find another Volvo dealership for service from this point forward.”

“Note: This review is also cross-posted on the service center listing since fewer people seem to look at that one.
The service technicians cannot fix any problem the first time. In the span of 2 years, every issue I have had with my xc90 had to be fixed TWICE. Leaking antennae assembly? Had to bring it back twice and it took a week to get a $20 gasket ordered. A/C leak last summer? Apparently the technician only found one leak and I had to bring it in two weeks later to find the second. Brought the car in for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Guess what? Technician missed a major problem with the brakes and had to bring it back a week later - a problem that clearly could not have been missed if he/she rotated the tires. Just this December, I brought the car in for a computer recalibration because the adaptive cruise control was no longer working. It worked for guess what? Three weeks later and it needs to be brought back in for the same problem! This is a shame because the cars themselves are awesome, but only having All Star in Baton Rouge to complete warranty service on the vehicle is a major problem because NO issue is correctly handled the first time. What a waste of my time!
UPDATE - Volvo's solution to my adaptive cruise control problem was to replace my "after market" windshield from Safelite with a $2000 windshield from Volvo. They said the windshield was causing the problem. Needless to say, I took it back to Safelite where the manager actually LOOKED at my vehicle instead of relying on just a computer error code and noticed a bracket on the front camera was misaligned. He fixed it for no charge and saved me $2000. Thank you Safelite and Volvo should be ashamed of themselves!”

“So, I needed rear brakes and recommended maintenance, front wipers and air filters replaced. I went to All Star Volvo on Coursey. I had no appointment but they took my car in, told me two ppl were ahead of me and that it’d be about 2 hrs and asked if I needed a ride home to which I replied yes. Liberty, a very nice young lady who was patient with my questions and very helpful, gave me her card pointing to a phone number on it stating that the number went directly to her phone. Within minutes, I was on my way home. Had a lovely conversation with the driver, Hollis, a very nice gentleman. I got a text message from Liberty when I got home saying if I had any questions, please contact her. Approximately 2 hours later I got a call saying my car was ready, the total due and asking if I needed a pick up, which I did. Hollis picked me up a few minutes later and you know they had washed my car and vacuumed the interior.
I felt like a queen, valued and well served. That is a great feeling. 🌻❤️”
