“I had a very frustrating experience with the Bakersfield CarMax location. I drove about 4.5 hours after completing all the paperwork ahead of time to trade in my truck for one of theirs. Everything was supposedly ready, and I was told there would be no issues. When I arrived, after spending an entire day, gas, and travel time, they informed me that they did NOT have the title for the vehicle and therefore could not complete the sale. This is something they should have verified long before telling a customer to make a long trip. What made it worse was the complete lack of help or accountability. The Bakersfield store staff offered no real solutions, and customer service was equally unhelpful. No one seemed to care that they had wasted my entire day and cost me time and money. This was extremely unprofessional for a large dealership that advertises a smooth, hassle-free buying process. My experience was the exact opposite.”
