āStopped in today to look at a Blazer I saw online. James was at the counter and we asked him about it, he was more than happy to help. He even went to find out where it was and did all the extra things knowing very well he wasnāt going to be able to get our sale because he had an appointment coming in. So when we asked him to see a different one on the lot he took us back to the counter where Jeff was and handed us over to him. Everything went to crap from that moment. Iām not sure if Jeff was having a bad day or what the circumstance was. He was extremely rude from the start. Didnāt say hello or introduce himself. We told him about the Blazer on the lot that we wanted to test drive and his response was ājust because itās on the lot doesnāt mean itās available.ā So we said ok can we find out, to which he pointed to the paper on the counter and told us we needed to scan the QR code to find out if it was available. Luckily we took a picture of the paper on the car and scanned the code from our phones and showed him it said itās available. He then took us back to his ādeskā so we could give him our drivers license and information to test drive. He was so very rude and short with us the whole time. Mentioning to us that they work on commission and that time was money. I told him we had bought vehicles from the before and we know. Then he wanted to know what our intention was and we told him a trade in. Then asked if anyone had helped us and I said no I did the online form for the trade. He was terrible the whole time like we were wasting his time. But made sure to let us know that he was a top rated seller (not sure how with that attitude). So we told him not to worry that we would just leave and come back another time. I picked up my license and he had the nerve to ask āare you sure?ā We were more than sure, considering they work on commission and he was treating us so bad why would I give him the opportunity to make anything off of us. My husband went to James to let him know what was going on and that we would come back to see him. Iād much rather give my time and money to someone who helped us without expecting anything. James is the only reason Iām putting 2 stars. I hope that Jeff has a better day and doesnāt treat anyone the same.ā

āAfter a long car search we found that Carmax had the car we wanted. Honestly, I was very skeptical of shopping at Carmax, much less buying from them. But they exceeded my expectations. The Buford Carmax was full of great sales people (Josh stood out). They took care of everything we pointed out before the sale. The sale process was easy, no pressure, and fair. After the sale, their Service department continued to impress by sorting out a few items under their 30 day warranty. Would recommend them!ā

āWe don't like shopping for cars and we HATE pushy sales people. We came from a car dealership not far from CarMax and had an absolute terrible experience.
We decided to try CarMax, and what a breath of fresh air. As soon as we entered the building, we were greeted and told to go out and look at whatever we wanted. If there was something we liked to come in and they would arrange a test drive. No pushy salespeople, no pressure, just the freedom to walk around and look at our own pace.
It was the Saturday before Easter weekend and we had arrived rather late, but found two vehicles that we were interested in test driving and buying. We realized that we were quite late arriving and were worried about the vehicles being gone if we came back the following week, but the gentleman helping us, James Fields, was so kind and reserved the vehicles for us to test drive the following week.
When we came back, the vehicles were ready to test drive. The rest was a breeze. We felt very comfortable with James and he was fantastic in all aspects of the process.
We purchased both vehicles and are extremely happy! Thank you James for being patient with us and not being the typical "used car salesman." We won't be purchasing vehicles anywhere, except CarMax in the future!ā

āMy online shopping experience with CarMax was a breeze, the customer reps really took care of my needs, walked me through every step, and made sure to consider all that I wanted in a car! CarMax really cares and they are not just there to make commission off of the car they want you to buy, and they are not there to just sell you any ol car, but they are there to help you choose what is just right for you ā¤ļø I thank the Lord for the people at CarMax, and their great efforts in my car buying experience.ā

āYesterday I sold my 2015 Mercedes C300 4matic to Car Max. It was extremely easy. I started an online appraisal filled out some information about my car etc. Very quickly they gave me an offer for my car. A tow truck driver was dispatched to my house the next day. The driver didnāt try to lower my offer in any way. He already had my check upon arrival. I signed a few papers and gave him the key. He loaded my car up on his truck and it was a done deal. Very impressed by Car Max from start to finish. Five stars for all employees I came in contact with. I tried two other companies that buys cars and both tried to give me substantially lower than the original offer upon coming to see my car. Not Car Max. They actually gave me the offer they quoted me for my car. Thatās how you do business. Upfront and honest. Thanks Car Max.ā
