“I had a very disappointing experience with Stokes Hodges Kia. Before purchasing the vehicle, I was clearly told by Johvonte in sales that several items would be repaired before the sale was finalized. After the deal was completed—and after it took over a month just to schedule the repairs—I was informed that only 2 of the 4 agreed-upon items would actually be fixed.
Throughout the entire process, I was constantly given the runaround and could never get a clear answer about what was actually going to be done. Different departments seemed to say different things, and the lack of communication was extremely frustrating.
To make matters worse, I only learned about this change after dropping my car off—two hours from home. The car was also kept for two weeks when it was originally supposed to be a four-day turnaround.
When I followed up, I received rude and unprofessional service from the “Service Department Manager”, Joe. The “repairs” were also poorly done. A leather repair on the passenger seat now feels like sandpaper, and the wheels that were supposedly repaired look like they were spray painted, due to some areas appearing dull. My vehicle was also left dirty from the work done and not being wiped down after. When I asked for documentation of the work performed, I was only given a vague handwritten list with no real details via email since they did not have it available when picking my car up.
Buying a car is a major purchase, and I expected honesty, clear communication, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would not recommend Stokes Hodges Kia based on how this situation was handled. I hope management takes the time to review situations like this so future customers are treated more transparently and professionally.
The sales rep did apologize, but it does not solve the matter of items not being repaired as agreed upon.”

“Overall review:
Overall the dealership did normal dealership things, pestering to get the deal done quickly, bad mouthing rival dealerships, hounding us to fill out surveys, going back and forth on promises that weren't on paper (and shouldn't have needed to be), and trying to make as much money off you as possible. They weren't outright disrespectful during our interactions but they could've handled some interactions a little better.
Pros:
The new 2026 Kia Sorento S FWD is a really nice car with great safety features and a great look.
Financing was fast and wasn't too pushy with their protection packages.
Cons:
Sold the car we came to look at didn't tell us until after we had already arrived with our three kids.
Told us at the beginning that there was no way we could get $2000 under MSRP or the cross bars. By the end of the deal after rebates, discounts, and some back and forth between other dealers we were about to get to the original ask.
Once we were told they needed to order in the cross bars we were assured that the dealership would install them for my wife when they arrived. Once she showed up to pick them up they told her they would NOT be installing them and that we would have to do that ourselves. Not a huge deal but we then received multiple phone calls asking us when we could come pick them up and have them installed, even though we had already picked them up and I installed them myself.
Sales associates continually bothered my wife asking her to fill out a survey after the purchase even though the survey went to my email and hadn't arrived yet. My wife didn't buy the car, I did.”

“Johvonte is the example of professionalism and integrity. He worked with me over the phone over the coarse of a few weeks prior to going the store for a new vehicle. I was extremely nervous about buying a new vehicle, I usually buy used. Once I came in we talked about what I was looking for in a vehicle and where I wanted my payments to be. He did all the work with the finance manager so I didn't have to. They were able to take my trade in and put me in a new vehicle with no money down and at a comfortable payment. The new vehicle I bought came with Kia's exceptional 100,000 mile/ 10 year warranty for the powertrain. It was a pleasure to not feel pressured into something I didn't want to do.

“Johvonte' Singleton was great! Really helped us make a good decision on the car we needed, at good deal. I even had to register in another state, put down a deposit to hold the vehicle for an extra day, and he was able to make sure the whole process went smoothly. So thank you!
Also they have a clean and well put together dealership!”

“My spouse was interested in a vehicle at Stokes Hodges Kia. Salesrep William Williamson reached out to him, sent him a video of the vehicle and set up an appointment. He did not continously call or email but reached out the day before to confirm appointment. Day of appointment was cold so William had the vehicle inside the garage. The purchasing process was pleasant from start to finish. The staff are friendly, the inside clean and refreshments are offered. Go see William Williamson at Stokes Hodges Kia in Beech Island, SC.”
