“I would give 5 stars for the Nissan Rogue Platinum itself, but 1 star for the dealer experience. If you are considering a Nissan, I would recommend looking for another dealer. During the sales process, Sales Consultant Kelvin clearly explained that they would cover the remaining lease payment and take care of the minor damage on my existing vehicle. Based on that explanation, and because I believed they would handle the lease-end process, I felt comfortable moving forward with the new lease. Later, I received an invoice from my previous lease company. I then realized that all they had done was contact the lease company to pick up the car. The minor damage that I had shown Kelvin was not fixed, and the billed amount was very high as a result. When I went back to Star Nissan and met with the sales manager, I was told that I did not have any written document proving what the sales consultant had told me, and that there was nothing in the contract supporting my position. This was a very disappointing experience. It was my mistake to trust verbal promises without getting everything in writing. During the sales process, everything sounded clear and reassuring, but after the deal was completed, they did not stand behind what was promised. This is my 6th lease, including a Nissan Leaf EV, and this is the first time I have experienced something like this. When I contacted Nissan Customer Service, they explained that dealers are independent entities and that Nissan cannot control them. In my opinion, this creates a difficult situation for customers because the dealer uses the Nissan name, but Nissan does not take responsibility for the dealer’s actions. Overall, I like the Rogue Platinum, but I would not recommend this dealer based on my experience.”
