“I have been a loyal customer of Elder Dodge in Athens, Texas for many years. I have purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership, as well as tires and regular maintenance services. My experiences with Jamie, Alex, and Samantha have always been positive, and I appreciate their professionalism. However, I recently encountered a situation with management that was both surprising and disappointing. After a routine oil change, I was never notified of any issue with the payment. Two weeks later, I received a call stating that my card had not gone through. In all my years as a customer — and with many larger transactions — I have never had a payment problem or failed to follow through. When I explained that I work out of town and would take care of the payment as soon as I returned, the response from management, particularly from Carol and later the owner, was unexpectedly discourteous. Instead of considering my long, reliable history with the dealership, I was met with a tone that felt dismissive and unnecessarily harsh. It is unfortunate that a simple misunderstanding escalated in this way. I have always valued good customer service, and I believe respectful communication is essential — especially with long-term customers. Regrettably, this experience has caused me to reconsider doing business with this dealership moving forward.”

“I went to Elder Dodge last week and at first everything was going great with my salesperson. Once we came inside, though, the experience completely changed. A man who claimed to be in charge of marketing(I could barely hear his name it started with an A..) came over and started talking so loudly to my salesperson that I couldn’t help but overhear. What I heard was him saying that if I didn’t like the way he did things, I could go somewhere else. That’s not something any customer should ever hear in a dealership. “Well this is my experience buying a used truck from Elder Dodge, the purchase was extremely easy there wasn't a whole lot of haggle negotiation like other places, After I had purchased a vehicle there was an issue with a radio, which my sells man (Oliver) told me don't worry about it we'll get fixed. After a bit of time, I was contacted and told to bring the truck back. they were kind enough to give me a loaner while the truck was getting fix.
