“If there was a lower rating I’d definitely give CarMax of buffalo lower then a one star. Paid to have my 2017 Nissan Titan XD to be shipped from Maryland to buffalo. Took awhile for it to arrive but that’s expected with the car haulers to make the rounds. Purchasing the truck was very fast and easy with my trade in. Drove the truck a couple weeks and the climate control system didn’t work properly at all. Third brake light assembly had a big crack going across it and I only noticed it because it had rained and noticed water in the light assembly. Also I noticed a knock sound coming from the engine. I called and advised of the issues. Brought the truck in and everything was “verified” after I had dropped the truck off at a local Nissan dealer. 7 WEEKS LATER. I received the truck back. Engine short block was replaced. Third brake light assembly still has a crack. Climate control system still doesn’t work properly. I had taken a trip out of state and when I returned the truck developed a miss fire in the engine and also the abs, traction control and tire pressure light came on. Brought the truck back in. We are now on week 2 of no truck still. So in all it’s been a real lousy experience with this dealer. Side note, I work on vehicle for a living. There’s no reason that these repairs should take this long to complete. Few days tops! NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS PLACE. Avoid this place. Go to a CarMax out of state. I’ve made more payments on the truck vs actually having the truck and driving it.”

“Found a great deal on a low mileage Lexus RX, scheduled a test drive easily online and purchased it really quickly. The sales person was outstanding and zipped through the entire purchase in a few hours. Couldnt be happier. This is my second CarMax purchase, A+ for both.”

“Very competent sales staff. A real pleasure and a joy to deal with. Smooth, fast, and efficient. Everything else? SUCKED. Didn't do anything they were supposed to AT ALL. Gave them 6 days, and tried calling. 25 minutes to even get a PERSON and I assume that was a call center. (Tried over and over to get to the sales people that helped us but it was an endless loop.) Wanted my phone number and email to put me through. I lost it. Finally got a person at the dealership... lost it again. All I wanted to do was leave a msg. Wasted an HOUR on making contact and getting nowhere. I very nearly brought the vehicle back. When we stopped in for the Honda front plate bracket we were told we would get, it was some generic joke. Went straight to Honda and ordered the right one. Rusted split in the paint we were told they'd fix? Not even worth pursuing. If I'd financed this through Carmax credit I'd write a check today and pay it off. My previous 2 experiences with Carmax in NC were great. (Don't ever use their service dept.) But this one on Niagara Falls Blvd was disappointing to say the least. AGAIN - sales office was great! Everything else was not. Worst part was just getting through on the phone and their "process." I was actually interested in adding another car to my personal fleet, but not with Carmax. Not a chance. I'll write a check at Carvana or the like.”

“Just picked up my 22 GT Premium less than a day ago, they went above and beyond to make sure I had the best possible experience. If you want a new or a new used car, Carmax is the way to go. The car is absolutely phenomenal and a real dream come true. Thank all of you for making this happen.”
