“BUYERS BEWARE The worst dealership experience of my life. After speaking with Victor, the salesman, I was assured the Honda Civic I was interested in was in great condition and fairly priced. I even called ahead before making a 7-hour drive to confirm the condition and the clean CarFax report. Everything sounded solid—until I arrived. What I found was absolutely shocking. This car wasn’t just “a little rough.” It looked like it had been driven through trees and beaten with a hammer. The passenger door rattled with glass inside because the window had been shattered and replaced without any cleanup. The front bumper was hanging off at every seam, the headlights were completely fogged, and the battery was so corroded it looked like the car had been underwater. The fuel door was smashed shut, the back glass was scratched down to the tint, the driver door handle was half detached, and the interior was full of burn marks and deep stains. Even the side mirror camera pointed up into the sky, the rearview mirror looked decades old, and the car had over 2,000 more miles than advertised. Every panel had major dents—you’d need an axe to make them that deep. When I showed all this to Victor, he acted like he couldn’t care less. He brushed off every issue, took a personal call in the middle of our walk-around, and avoided every direct question. I finally had to push him to pull up the CarFax, which was “clean” on their website—but when we looked together, it showed the car had been in a serious accident with safety-compromising damage. So yes, this dealership was trying to sell a car that had clearly been pieced together from junkyard parts, all while hiding the accident history. Not to mention the test drive they allow is literally around the 1 block section of the industrial area, top speed of 25mph. Clearly a way to hide any mechanical issues. When I refused the vehicle, Victor tried showing me others in their inventory, but it quickly became clear that nearly every car in the building was damaged or poorly repaired. The whole place felt shady and unsafe. This dealership is dishonest, deceptive, and dangerous. Don’t fall for their online listings, their “clean” CarFax claims, or their fake charm over the phone. They’ll waste your time, your money, and your trust. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.”

“Was in the market for a small convertible. Found a black 2016 MBZ SL400 at Addison AutoPlex. Received a prompt reply to my inquiry regarding whether the vehicle was still available. Exchanged emails with José and set up an appointment for a test drive. When I arrived, he was busy on a call. I looked over the car in their show room. The vehicle generally looked fine; for a 9- year old car, it had the expected paint chips on the front end, curb rash on all four wheels, and miscellaneous scratches and a small crease on the left rear quarter panel. It also had two broken sun visors which were held in place with blue painters tape, and the car was in desperate need of a thorough detailing. I test drove the car and it ran well. The folks at Addison AutoPlex made the car available for a pre-purchase inspection; the report noted the above concerns but did not identify any major issues. I did some additional research on the vehicle using the VIN. I discovered that the vehicle was not equipped with some of the features noted in the e-brochure that was posted on the Addison AutoPlex website. When asked about these discrepancies, José's response was the equivalent of telling me that whoever uploaded the information went with what they thought the vehicle had and that was not necessarily how the vehicle was actually equipped. Not the best response since it tended to reflect poorly on the dealer's staff, particularly since the accurate information was easily determined. Generally speaking, the deal seemed to be a fair one for a 9-year old car in reasonably good condition with 61K miles (close enough but different than the 60,750 miles advertised; while I was on-site, one of the representatives told me he had been driving the vehicle...he put about 300 miles on it since it came to be in their inventory). I bought the car, declining all of the efforts to convince me to buy what I perceived as overpriced service warranty options. After driving the car for a few days, I took it to a local repair shop specializing in MBZ repairs for a more thorough inspection, to have any needed repairs made, and for a thorough detailing. Ultimately, the car needed the inoperable/hissing seat massage frames replaced for both the passenger and driver seats, the broken sun visors replaced, the front valve covers replaced due to leakage, and a bracket for the front license plate installed. The staff at Addison AutoPlex should have either installed the license plate bracket since TX requires two license plates or they could have given me the option to decline the installation by signing a waiver declining the installation. The good news is that the repair folks where I took the car let me know that, aside from the issues noted, the car was generally sound given its age and mileage. And, I must say, the car drives really well and also looks good as a MBZ of its age should. All things being equal, I think I have a keeper. So now that the after-sale repairs have been made and the car has been cleaned up, I am ready to rate Addison Autoplex. It was not a five-star buying experience. It absolutely was not a bad sales experience but it was nothing to crow about..it was just average. The verbal and text message requests for a 5-star rating were a bit off-putting and a bit presumptuous, particularly since, aside from those requests, there has been no after-purchase check-in. And that's one of those small things that makes for repeat customers and referrals... So, if the Addison AutoPlex has a vehicle you want and the price is right, make sure you do your homework on the vehicle so that you can be comfortable with your decision.”

“Great experience, Jose helped me on the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte that I purchased and they gave me a good trade in value on the 2010 Maserati I was trading in. The process was smooth and the paperwork was done quickly. They also helped me transfer my personal plates. Recommend them for purchasing one of their vehicles. They were also competitively priced.”

“I had a great experience buying a used 2018 BMW 540i from Addison Autoplex. I worked with Enrique Ayala, who was easy to communicate with, answered all of my questions, and scheduled a test drive the same day I called. He even let me take the car to my own BMW mechanic for an inspection, which I really appreciated. The car was super clean and had no mechanical issues—my mechanic gave it a thumbs up. The pricing was very fair, and the entire process felt straightforward and low-pressure. I also worked with Mehdi, the GM, during the final paperwork and he was just as professional and easy to work with. Overall, a good group of guys and a very pleasant buying experience. Highly recommend.”
