Back to Business Payroll is an easy online service that allows you to do payroll in less than ten minutes. There is no software to install. Each payday, you enter the hours for each employee and contractor along with commissions, tips, reimbursements or other adjustments. | How do I set up a new account? How long does it take?
|
|
Just sign up online and we'll guide you through the enrollment process which takes about an hour for most small companies.
You'll enter company and employee information during this enrollment process. You can add additional employees or change rates of pay at any time, and the changes will be effective immediately. |

Today! Once you've completed your enrollment, you can run your payroll in less than 10 minutes.

| What is needed to start electronic payments and filings?
|
|
During setup you will print our electronic services form, sign it, and fax it to us. This gives us your authorization to link your bank account to pay your employees and/or federal and state tax agencies. It takes about 2 ½ weeks to get all the necessary confirmations from federal and state tax agencies. In the meantime, you can begin payroll immediately, and pay your employees by check today.

| How long is my contract?

There is no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time.

| How do I pay for this service?
|
|
You'll pay on a monthly basis, and you can pay by credit card or by electronic debit from your bank account. Each month you will be automatically billed for payroll services based on the date that your ran your first payroll. For example, if you ran your first payroll September 1, your monthly fee will be deducted on the first of each month.

| How do I pay my employees?
|
|
You have 3 choices for paying employees or contractors with Back to Business Payroll:
Direct deposit to their accounts
Print checks on check stock with your own printer
Hand write checks; print pay stubs on plain paper

| Can I pay employees in multiple states?
|
|
Yes, you can pay employees in multiple states using Back to Business Payroll. Just add $12 per month for each additional state where you pay employees.

| How does direct deposit work?
|
|
Direct deposit allows you to transfer funds electronically from your bank account to your employees' accounts.
To setup direct deposit, you'll submit an authorization form and routing/bank account numbers for your bank account and each employee who wants direct deposit. It will take about 2 ½ weeks for confirmation that setup is complete. In the meantime, you can continue to pay your employees by check.
For your first payroll using direct deposit, we require you to submit payroll and funding 5 business days in advance. After that, you can do 2-day direct deposit at any time. For example, if you want to guarantee your employees will receive their direct deposits by Friday, simply verify you have funds in your account, and approve your payroll on Wednesday by 8p.m. ET.

| How does Back to Business Payroll help me pay payroll taxes?
|

We make it fast and easy to pay your payroll taxes. We'll do all the calculations for you. We'll send you an e-mail reminder whenever payroll taxes are due. Plus, you can control when your taxes are paid.
For federal taxes, you can just click to pay taxes electronically. If you prefer, you can print your tax coupon and make a payment through an authorized financial institution or submit via mail. For most state taxes, you can just click to pay taxes electronically; for the rest, you can print a coupon and mail a check.

| How does Back to Business Payroll help me file tax forms?
|

Filing tax forms is easy. We do all the calculations and complete all the forms for you. You can file most of them electronically. We'll send you an email reminder whenever payroll tax filings are due.
For federal taxes, you can just click a button to file all the forms. For most states, you can click to file the forms electronically; for some, you print out the completed form, sign and mail them. In a few states where the agency requires you to submit their original printed form, we'll produce a worksheet with all the numbers you need. Then, just mail your completed form along with your state tax payment.

| Can I export payroll data?

After each payroll, you can export your payroll data with a few clicks to leading small business accounting software. Exporting is optional, and is not required to make full use of Back to Business Payroll.
