1. What is a 1098/1099 form?
IRS Forms 1098 or 1099, also known as “information returns,” are documents that identify certain types of financial transactions to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  Financial institutions are required to report these types of transactions by filing these forms to qualifying individuals.

2. When can I expect to receive my 1098/1099 form?
Capital One mails these forms to qualifying individuals according to the timelines established by the IRS.  Please refer to the official IRS website (noted below) for additional information on when you typically can expect to receive an IRS Form 1098 or 1099.

• If you suspect an error, please have supporting documentation available.  You may need to submit copies to us if additional investigation is required, so that we may more fully investigate your concerns.
