Remember the fun of roasting marshmallows, making art projects, and learning how to swim? Camp is an experience that helps children learn, grow, make new friends, and have fun. That's why Capital One® wanted to make sure that children in foster care were able to go to camp this past summer.
We created Foster One Cool Summer in partnership with Child and Family Services Agency to provide more than 1000 children in foster care with the opportunity to attend local summer camps sponsored by the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation, or private camps in the D.C. area.
Capital One® has also worked with the Child Welfare League of America, Casey Family Programs, National Foster Parent Association and National Foster Care Coalition to benefit children in foster care.
