1. Which other types of accounts can I access using Online Banking?
You can access your Direct Banking accounts and other Capital One accounts you own including auto loans provided by Capital One Auto Finance® and most products provided by our branch banking business in Louisiana and Texas. You can also link your Capital One credit card(s) for viewing within Online Banking.

2. What features are available within Online Banking?
There are several new features available within Online Banking, including:
  • Linking all your accounts—View a snapshot of your Capital One accounts by linking your credits cards, auto loans, and more.
  • Transaction alerts—Now you can set up e-mail or wireless devices to receive alerts on your account balance or transaction status.
  • Self Service enhancements—New self service features allow you to change your user ID and password, change your mailing address, reorder checks, and much more.

No, Online Banking is a completely free service for Capital One Direct Banking customers.

4. How secure is the new Online Banking?
Online Banking uses the highest levels of online security to protect your information. In addition to standard procedures like encryption levels and user ID and password protection, we also utilize multi-factor authentication. With multi-factor authentication, you supply us with questions and answers that we use when additional security is needed (for example, if you forget your password or sign in from a computer we do not recognize).

5. I receive an error message while attempting to log in with Firefox.

If you receive the message “Your browser is not capable of viewing this site because it does not support JavaScript or JavaScript may be disabled. Please enable JavaScript”. You have installed the NoScript FireFox extension and may have inadvertently overridden your default browser security settings.

To allow the Capital One site to be rendered correctly, click the NoScript icon in the system tray. This is the blue 'S' icon with a circle slash through it found on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the NoScript Plug in Menu, select "Allow https://servicing.capitalone.com/" or "Allow https://onlinebanking.capitalone.com/". Click OK or Apply, this will allow all JavaScript content from our site to be rendered correctly. Restart your browser and log in as usual.
