Our company culture encourages the advancement of women, so we were honored to receive this recognition in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We frequently collect associates' input to ensure we provide the right support for work/life balance, including generous parental leave options and workplace flexibility.

Celebrating our terrific partnerships on important initiatives such as associate networks, diversity councils, community affairs, supplier diversity and HR programs, Capital One was ranked #25, up from #46 in 2008.

Since 2001, we have placed in the top half each year because we offer one of the best corporate learning programs in the United States. In 2009, we ranked #14.

Our adoption benefits, such as the amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave available to associates who adopt, earned us a place on this groundbreaking list in 2007, its first year, and in 2008. We're proud to be recognized for helping our associates start and expand their families.
Conceive Magazine “50 Best Companies”
Following a nationwide survey in 2007 to find the companies offering the best benefits to employees hoping to be parents, we earned a spot on this family-friendly list. We work hard to provide stellar family-friendly benefits for our associates—including coverage for fertility diagnosis and treatment, financial assistance for adoptions and paid time off for birth and adoptive parents.
Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility 
Investments in tools and resources to support flexible work arrangements for our associates earned honors for our Virginia campuses in McLean and Richmond in 2008.
Best Places to Work in Oklahoma 
Our Tulsa call center, which supports our auto finance business, made the list in 2007 and 2008 and most recently ranked #4 among other large companies.
