1. Is there a discount for having monthly payments made automatically?
Yes - on most accounts, you will receive a rate discount of .25% when you choose to have your loan or line of credit payments automatically deducted from your Capital One account.

2. How do I get a payoff on my loan and/or line of credit?
To get a payoff on your Capital One loan and/or line of credit you can call Customer Service at 1-800-655-BANK (2265) or e-mail us for a payoff, please include the name, address and phone number on record for the loan/line in the e-mail. We recommend you request written conformation of the quoted payoff. NOTE: Balances available at Capital One's Online Banking may not be accurate payoffs.

3. If I did not get a coupon book for my loan, how do I request another one?
If you do not receive your coupon book within two weeks of closing your loan, please call the banking office that handled your loan closing. You can also call Customer Service at 1-800-655-BANK (2265).

4. How do I change the address on my loan and/or line of credit?
Please notify the bank promptly when your address has changed. You can make this change by calling Customer Service at 1-800-655-BANK (2265).

5. When is my payment considered late?
All loan and line of credit payments are considered late if they are not received by the due date.

6. How can I pay my monthly loan note?
There are several ways to pay your monthly note:
 - via automatic deductions from a Capital One checking or savings account

 - use Online Banking to transfer funds between your checking, savings, money market and  eligible line of credit accounts

 - mail your payment to P.O. Box 61336, New Orleans, LA 70161

 - pay in person at a Capital One banking office

 - or via certain Capital One ATMs

7. What is the procedure for paying a loan by check over the phone?
To pay your loan by check over the phone, please contact our collections department at 1-800-572-3772. A collections representative will take the information over the phone for payment.  There is a $5 fee for customers who make payments by the phone using another financial institution check.  Customers paying with a Capital One Bank deposit account will not be assessed a service fee for same day payment request.

8. Are there any pre-payment penalties on personal loans closed at a banking office?
No - if you pay off a loan before the original term, you will not incur a penalty charge. You only pay interest for the time you had the loan.

9. Is debt protection available on my Loan or Line of Credit?
Yes, debt protection is a bank product and may be available for your loan, depending on the amount borrowed and term of the loan.  It includes loss of life, disability and job loss and must be purchased in conjunction with a consumer loan.

Debt protection is not available on lines of credit.

10. Are automatic payments available on my Loan or Line of Credit?
Yes, automatic payments are available. Just ask to have your monthly payments automatically deducted from your Capital One checking or savings account.

11. Is there an annual fee for a line of credit?
Yes, there may be a nominal annual fee.

12. Is there a transfer or advance fee to withdraw cash from my line of credit?
No, there is no charge to transfer money from your line of credit or withdraw cash directly from it, nor is there a higher interest rate charged to do so.

13. Is there a charge for ordering more line of credit checks? Can I order checks over the phone?
Your line of credit checks are always free. Just order online or contact us at 1-800-655-BANK (2265) to order additional checks over the phone.
